Welcome to our website!
As one of Penrith's churches and notable landmarks the Parish Church of Saint Andrew nestles at the heart of the historic red sandstone market town of Penrith on the edge of the English Lake District and Eden Valley in Cumbria. Its tall medieval tower - built to defend the townspeople from Scottish raiders - is prominent from many locations around the town. The church community at St. Andrew's is a friendly and inclusive family of all ages with the aim of building God's kingdom at the heart of Penrith.
You are most welcome to visit St. Andrew's and join us for worship at any of our services: the main 10 o'clock Sunday morning service, quieter 8.00 a.m. Sunday morning service at Christ Church. Service times
The church is usually open every day from 8.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. (in winter months it may be closed a little earlier). During COVID-19 restrictions, the church is open from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. for private prayer. You are welcome to visit to explore this beautiful building in the centre of Penrith and to enjoy the stillness and prayerful atmosphere of this place of Christian worship.
The Church Office is located in the Parish Centre, opposite the church.
Thank you for visiting our website, we hope it is helpful and you will find the information you need. We look forward to welcoming you to our church and meeting you in person!
